    hi, just had leather fitted to my a6 1.8T. the airbag light stays on whilst driving, is there anyway that i can switch this off?

    There will be a fault code logged.

    To clear it and put the light out you need to clear the fault code.

    Look in the vagcom subforum for info.

    Take it back. If you have had all the seats done then they may have left a bag disconnect or they turned the ignition on when a seat/bag was disconnected and that set the fault. Regards Peter

    Mine was doing that for a couple of weeks and was beginning to annoy me then someone moved the passenger seat and it hasnt appeared since.
    i guess there is a loose connection or a problem with the wiring under the passenger seat but i havent looked at it just happy the light went out.

    Not sure if it's the same for all A6's of the same era but you can't get under the seats in mine to check anything. They're right to the floor.

    Cheers, I'll have a look. Do I need to rip up carpet or anything?
    The airbag plug scares the hell out of me though. I'd end up starting the car while standing outside it for a month after unplugging.
