Can anyone tell me where the glow plug relay is located on a 2002 Audi A6 Tdi 130? I have been having a few problems getting her started and have changed everything including the glow plugs and G62 coolant sensor. There are NO faults codes now registered on VAG-COM. When it is really cold outside (minus 1.5 the other day) the glow plug light only came on for 2 seconds, so I can only conlcude the relay is going/faulty. Any piccies would be greatly appreciated as I have a tendancy to break things whilst looking for other things.

rather than change the relay put a voltmeter accross the glow plug terminal and earth and you should get 11volts for about 10 seconds. If not the change the relay

Thanks for your quick reply. There is current going to the glowplugs so I think that the power is simply not on for long enough. Does the relay control how long or the ecu? The strange thing is the other day when it was minus 1.5 degrees, the glow plug light came on for about 2 seconds. Yesterday, when it was plus 3 degrees, the glow plug light came on for about 4 or 5 seconds. On both occasion, the car had been left for several hours. I cant understand why that would be? If it is the relay, where is it located?
