    Hi,
My car's performance has decreased drastically. The Scan tool registers 16485 p0101 Implausible Signal from the MAF. We swapped a new MAF but no difference. There are no blockages in the inlet and the wiring seems to be OK. If the code is cleared it only appears after the car has been running for a few minutes and the MAF will then stick in a default no 550 for the reading..

    Anybody come across anything similar?

    Thanks

An implausible signasl error is usually given if there is a total break in the circuit. As you've checked the component by replacing it, I'd turn my attention to the wiring.

Tricky I know, but try and trace it back along the loom looking for damage.
