hi everyone, my 225bhp s3 dosn't seem to have any boost in low gearsand intermittantly when trying to accelerate in top gear the rev counter would just jump to 4000 rpm but with no acceleration of the car, so i recently had it into a garage and they fitted a new diaphragm in the recirculating valve as the old one had split, but i still dont feel any turbo boost in lower gears.
    can anyone help?

Have you tried putting in new oil. The Audi's are very picky about the oil you put in them. Make sure it is the VAG stuff. Dearer, but well worth it.

The only accurate way to test the boost is with a diagnostic tester reading the MVB (mesaured value blocks) its checked in 3rd gear full throttle at 2000rpm untill 3000rpm. Air mass meter and charge pressure control solenoid valve can cause lack of power somtimes even without a fault code stored.

Might be a good idea unless you have access to a tester but be specific on what you want checked whether its just the boost pressure or for a lack of power cos the charge could get a bit heavy in a dealer.
