    Tameside VW Audi.

    Based in Ashton Under Lyne.
Only a small garage, but no nonsense and trustworthy.

    Bloke called Nathan runs it.

Sorted both my Audi 90 and passat for not much dosh too.

My Passat was being transported by AA relay from Norfolk to Manchester this weekend (long story!!!) and I got talking to the driver about the costs of using VW dealerships. I have always had my VWs serviced by the big Smith Knight Fay group, but was recommended a small independent on Knutsford Rd in Wilmslow - reasonable prices, knows what he's doing, a clean garage, won't touch anything but VAG. I haven't tried him yet, but intend to. The relay guy rated him highly.

    Might be worth a shot?

Lodge Motorsports in Goton, Manchester. He's a VW and Porsch specialist.

Good rates and honest service. I'd definately take my car there again.

I know this was posted ages ago but does anybody know what the name of this Independent on Knutsford road is?

Wow -didn't realise I it has been so long since I posted this. I STILL haven't visited it due to getting a free long-life service from Smith Knight Fay at the end of last year (because of all the problems I had experienced - some posted here). However, Knutsford Rd (Wilmslow) isn't known for a plethora of garages - I'm assuming this is one small one, tucked out of the way, and there is unlikely to be another. Certainly not another who professes to be a VAG specialist. My car is due a service; if I find out will post the name here. Sorry to have been so vague - the AA Relay guy couldn't remember the name and didn't seem to think I would have a problem finding it, so assume there must only be one? Hope this helps!

Try this - H Marsh & Son (Wilmslow) Ltd.
    23 Knutsford Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 6JB
01625 523669. Found it listed - ask if he is VAG specialist. No others listed on Knutsford Rd. Good luck!

I sometimes get up to Manchester for an additional cost but depending on the job it may still save you some money?
