    Just want to check; with the above specs if I go from ET56 to 43 the wheels will stick out 13mm more; is this within tolerance?

    This would be using a set from an 8V and from what I can see all the other specs are identical.

    yes, they will stick out 13mm more, as long as both wheels are 7.5 j.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    Which ones are you going for? Considering upgrading mine to 18s at some stage.

    I've picked up a set of these for just shy of £500 delivered in mint condition with barely used Pirelli's on them; they came off a new 8V model. I can get the part number if you want it as they aren't on the car at the moment (still on the winter set). I think them sticking out an extra 13mm will make it look great too.

    I'm not sure I'd want to go up to 18's as I think that may overly compromise the ride quality.
