Hello all, I've had an A7 Black Edition since July '13 but just finalized the paperwork to take delivery of a new-model version (same colour, just call me adventurous) on March 3rd. Slightly trepidatious about going back from a diesel to a petrol engine, but hopefully it will all be fine. Looking forward to playing with the new toys on the facelifted version. Left the previous car entirely stock, but tempted to maybe play with the new version... We'll see.

Wish I was allowed to upgrade but it's a new car or my balls - not both! What spec/engine have you gone for?

I pay for my wife's car (A3) so she can't argue... too much

New one is the 331bhp V6T in Black Edition guise. Ibis white with the usual black edition stuff plus: Parking Advanced (not my choice, it's a dealer-specced car), Tech Pack, Sunroof and soft-close doors. I could have lived without the soft-close and the sunroof and gone for some other toys, but that's the price for taking a car from stock, I guess. Test-drove it yesterday and very different in character to my current 3.0 Tdi (the 0-60 in 6.3 secs one, can't remember which output that is?). Gearbox noticeably faster to change and some refinements like the double-glazing does make a difference. Matrix headlights seem pretty cool too! Oh and it feels weird having an engine that revs past 4,500!
