    Hey!

Apologies if this has been answered before. The FM reception in my cabrio is awful. I understand that there there is a common issue with the cable deteriorating at the flexible cover on left side of the boot.

I've not had a chance to have a good look at it, but understand that others have successfully repaired the aerial cable, but I wonder if anyone has ever replaced the whole cable, or even know if this is possible?
At the moment I am using a Parrot Asteroid (worse heap of ***** EVER), but at least I can use iPhone's connection to access internet stations rather than using the FM.

I am looking to replace said unit with a double din unit (not sure which yet - Maybe a Panasonic unit?), either way I would like to get the FM aerial sorted before hand.

    Thanks guys

Which system do you have, Chorus, Symphony, Bose, nav and the cars year?

The usual problem is the co-ax in the boot hinge conduit being broken and you have to replace this, typically with part number 8H5 035 550 AA which is £60 from Audi.
