Thank you all for very much for the interesting opinions.
I managed to get a drive in a salesman's 2.0 ultra auto (18" wheels) today which I felt was ok but just like my BMW just a little bit slow off the mark. didn't really like the paddles if I am honest if I am going to pay for the box I want it to do the work whether toddling or pushing, think it is going to be manual and save some cash and also gets the wife to drive if I want a bevvy.
Really impressed that you have all taken the trouble to post.
Will keep you all informed on my ordering progress chasing prices now and will get my order in ASAP. Think 3 months delivery is a bit poor but what can you do ?

    Oh dear
As you can see I have been dallying on what to order since Feruary and finally decided yesterday to order only to be told that to qualify for current finance offer car must be delivered by 31st June and all build slots are full.
OOPS missed out there then only myself to blame.
Got to wait for latest offers to be announced next week now and see what they are.
    Stupid stupid boy

Definitely worth speaking to other dealers either directly or via CowWow as dealers have individual build allocations. Assuming you use finance then currently on an A6 there is excess of 20% discount on offer from some dealers so probably something similar on the A7. Also cars delivered after the end of June will almost certainly be 2016 spec and that may mean a price rise with or without a change in spec and yes I know the Euro is weak against the pound but that does not mean they won't put the price up and a change in spec is only relevant if the changes are things you want and would have ordered originally!

I bet there are dealers with build slots before then, my dealer found one for me, 10 weeks from order to delivery. If you want a contact at the dealer I used (also part of the DtD and Carwow network) PM me.

Thanks for your input guys. I have been going through car wow with Coventry Audi and to be honest they are way cheaper than any other dealer and knowing that will not allow me to pay loads more for the same car they lose enough of my cash as it is plus the guy at Coventry has been very helpful and deserves my business.
Decided I will wait until next week and see what the new offer is, if its not good then I have a deal on the table for another two weeks against a new BMW so I will go for that.
