    Hi All Happy VW owners

Quick question, I would like to change my glow plugs however I have heard that there are 2 different voltage ones.
GSF Returned me 2 possible options.
(VERY SORRY THAT I POST THEES LINKS HERE )
    1. GLOW PLUG 180VG0060
    2. GLOW PLUG 180VG0150

Could you please suggest which ones do I need for my car?

    I have a VW 2.0TDI 140BHP 56 plate however it's a 2007 car. (February 2007)

Option one states that those glow plugs are for cars from 06/2007 onwards (FROM CONSTRUCTION YEAR 06/2007) so I assume these are not the ones that I need right?
It's just that they have a very nice -33% offer on all service parts now and it's a great chance to change glow plugs as they been playing up recently...

Hope to hear from you soon.

Just to confirm, you just went to VW dealer and asked them to sell you the glow plugs?
Could you confirm that you have the same engine as I do? Different voltage glow plugs have different price.

My 1.9 A3 (basically a MK5 Golf) takes 2 different voltages, Bosch and Beru and they found the correct ones via my chassis number.

People think main dealers are expensive, they're not and common things like heater plugs are cheaper direct from them.

And you run the risk of getting cheeepo Chinese fakes which often cause more problems than they solve.
For sensors and other replaceable parts like glow plugs there's loads of them all in "official" looking boxes
available from aftermarket factors. Just give your VIN to dealer spares and they'll sort you out. And you
get a one year warranty too.

Take care with the wiring, can be brittle down there. Spray the plugs with Servisol or Maplin's equivalent
    Good luck!

Agreed, with service parts. I have my car VW dealer serviced and always seem to get parts fitted at trade.

    Awesome, thanks for the info.
Will get down to my local dealer on Monday and get a quote from there.

Just a quick addition. Will a dealer upgrade CANBUS or they don't do these kind of things? Like not software of my CANBUS but actual hardware itself.

What do you mean "upgrade canbus"? As in upgrading the can gateway to allow for newer radios/nav units to be fitted without battery drain?

You can do it yourself but will require VCDS to copy your old coding to the new module.

VW will proably say "no" as its not an approved factory retrofit.
