I recently replaced the wife's standard d3s bulbs with these http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=291115018546

Hers were taking a lot longer to get to operating temperature/colour and were dimmer and yellower than when she got it.

The new bulbs are much better, brighter and whiter than the dying stock bulbs. Can't do a like for like comparison as the old ones were 3 years old but she (and I) am happy with these.

No idea on comparison I'm afraid. I have all LED headlights in mine and these, although not as good, are not far off and much better than they were last week.

Isn't the X-treme vision a halogen? I've used the H7 version in the past on my B8 and am not sure I could tell the difference.

well i just ordered a set of teh extremevision D3s with 50% more light than the audi OEM ones, which are philips xenecostart (discontinued), these will also be 'cooler' colour temp since the extremes are 4800k and the stock are only 4300k. will report back once i have them installed :-)

Could you please post some before and after photos.I'm going down same route in April/May and these are supposed to be the best.I've had my halogen lights replaced in my previous A4 with Philips extreme and difference was noticeable and helped a lot with night driving.

That would be great if you could. Also how much did you pay for the pair.I remember looking to buy these end of last year and they were somewhere around £70-£80 per bulb but now have gone to about £85-£90 per bulb.
