Pictures 2 months in and nearly 3000 miles

It's been a couple of months since I've posted, so I thought it was about time I posted some pics from a recent detail with a good friend of mine and some Gtechniq products.

Here are a couple of photos just after we had finished a two part 16 hour detailing session. Admittedly it wasn't all on my car, but I did have the pleasure of helping out with a Datsun 240z rally car, pic further down. This was being prepared for the road to mandalay rally 2015.

I'll put some more info up soon about products used if anyone is interested, and also my thoughts on the A6 Ultra S-Line S-Tronic.

Inside of those alloys is cleaner than my whole car! Maybe it wasn't a good idea to buy a white car in the winter.

Used the Gtechniq on my rims when I changed over to winters about a month ago. So far it's been good and they are coming up well with just snow foam and power washer. Still enjoy waxing so haven't gone down the sealant route yet but must say it's getting more appealing in this weather!

What you got on your car? My wife's is white and I have gone with the Werkstat acrylic but that is now discontinued with carlack being the preferred replacement but am open to suggestions.
I am using BMD Taurus and Sirius on mine but have also been using Topaz which is very easy to use. Topped with BSD mixed with QD gives it a great finish and easy to look after at this time of year.

Hi Scott

I emailed Elite car care who recommended Menzerna I think that's how you spell it. I then used a Ultra Violet gloss enhance followed by a coat of Poorboys Nattys Paste.

The beading is amazing.

I used the Menzerna to get rid of some fine swirl marks and the result was amazing. I did use a Maguires G220 polisher.

The reason the alloys were so clean is I wanted to coat all of them with C2, so the dirt would be easier to clean off.

The axel stands were not my idea and I was filling my pants at the time but was promised all would be ok, and it was. I nearly left the work shop at one point. Next time it will be on a ramp. Luckily my friend who was doing it is also PDR specialist, but I don't think a slip off the stands would have come out with a glue gun or a rod.

I used Crystal Serum as the main protector on the body work, but I will fully list what I used once I have the details to hand. I've it all noted on a laptop I don't have access to at the minute.

I am loving the beading off the whole car especially the windscreen, I don't even need to use the wipers. Awesome!!

I find its a shame to drive on our dirty roads after a good detailing... All that hard work!!
