My second hand 2012 MY car came with two keys (it has Advanced Key). Whilst playing with the MMI, it told me that three keys were linked to the car. Is there a way of pairing just the two keys I have and therefore removing the third key? Or is it dealer only?

You should have a plastic key/fob thing somewhere too.

Yes, realised that from searching - but I don't have one.

OK, so now I assume that the third key registered is the emergency key (which I don't have). I'll have to make a note to remove it at least when the car next goes in - I'm assuming getting a replacement is going to be rediculously expensive.

Had the same issue. When I approached the dealer about the emergency key (plastic one) as the vehicle only had one previous owner he said it didn't have one !!!!!! End of.!!

Don't suppose you need it but it do mean someone somewhere has a key to my vehicle.
