Audi phone box - charging and music interface

Hi, does anyone know whether a lead is required for charging/music interface for iPhone 6 in the new facelift A6 or does it come as standard?? Just want to make sure I'm ready for when I pick my new motor up next month.

You need a cable mate. None are standard with the cars now (I believe) they are about £35 each

The guys at the dealership gave me one when I picked up my car. Just asked and they got the correct one and then set up the phone for me.

Just got mine today. The new ami just has 2 USB ports so you just plug it in with the charger cable and it all works. There's no special cable like the old one.

So to confirm it works simply with the apple usb charger cable?

That's what I did and music coming from iPhone to stereo.
Just the spare standard lightning cable I had lying around.

Not sure if this make any difference but my spare cable I'm using in the new car is an old 30pin iPod cable with a lightning converter in the end.
Will give it a try later with just the normal Lightning cable later if I remember.
