    Hey guys

Bought a second hand A3 Quattro 3.2 lately, it had a raft of issues.

My Audi doesn't seem to be sending a Bluetooth signal. It should have blue tooth if there is evidence the phone setup exists? i.e. I have an audi phone cradle mounted in the armrest.

Mind you I've only checked with my Samsung Galaxy S3, but it IS on the compatible list AFAIK.

So looking at the phone interface it states 'Note: Telephone is not available.'

Anyone know what Audi actually mean by '..not available'?

I've seen other forums 'Telephone not installed'... this must be different?

    Any help woud be great

You need the cradle suited to your phone to use the BT. Or change the BT module for one which supports handsfree connections.

Thanks very much for the reply Chris

I thought all Bluetooth was wireless technology? So it sounds possible to have a BT module that only talks through the cradle?

If so, that's so not rockin.

How do I tell what BT module version I have? Damn I sound like a Noob.

My Samsung S3 is a work phone, so didn't want to spend dollars on the cradle if I could avoid it.

I was originally hoping there was a way of getting the BT signal to start through a setting.
