    when i remove the vacum pipe from the turbo on my 2001 tdi there is very little to no vacum pressure should i be able to notice the vacum pressure ?

    yes, there should be lots of vacuum, enough to move the actuator through its full 19 mm of travel, presuming its a 1.9 pd tdi.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    first check you actually have any vacuum pressure. engine off, pump break pedal until it goes solid. press pedal and start engine, does it get softer. now, with engine running, you need to turn it off and watch the flp on the egr valve, it should snap shut as soon as the engine stops, and then open again. does it do this. then check all the thin vacuum lines and make sure none are broken. if in doubt because they are all freyed, replace the lot.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...
