Just thought that I would post a few thoughts after having the car about 2 weeks now.

The only options I ordered with the car were metallic paint, folding mirrors, 20 inch 5 spoke titanium wheels and the tech pack with the HUD & MMI High.

    • 7 speed S Tronic is super smooth and changes are virtually unnoticeable
    • Pirelli P zero tyres fitted from the factory and they seem nice and quiet so far
    • When you have the gear box in the eco setting it has a coasting mode that disengages the gear box whenever you lift off the throttle for a short period of time, again seems to work very well and you only notice because there is no engine breaking at all and the car seems to continue at its current speed for a long time so I have found that you need to anticipate more and brake more than you might be used to.
    • You no longer need any kind of adaptor for the music interface using the usb. Just use your iPhone lighting cable to USB and it works fine with all the apple features in the MMI
    • I think the quoted MPG figures seem rather mythical at the moment. Best I have managed when trying to drive in an economical manner is about 50mpg which was in mixed conditions - I think this will improve as the engine loosens up a little and I get more used to the car but to get 65 MPG on a long run would be a mission in itself.
    • Matrix lights are excellent
    • The car is big - very wide and long compared to most other cars I have driven previously
    • Overall extremely impressed with the fit and finish and refined drive and it will also go well when you set it to dynamic and give it the beans.
    • Ad blue fill point is located next to the diesel tank cap and you use the wheel nut wrench to undo the filler point - I think the manual states it holds about 15 litres but if you do run out you cannot start the vehicle until you have put some back in the system

Couple of not so good "features"
    • After it has been raining - when you open the boot and the passenger doors you can get quite a lot of water dribbling into the cabin/boot area.
    • Rear window mists up very easily so you pretty much need to keep the air con running all the while

Would be interested to hear what other Ultra/face lift drivers think when they get theirs.

Same, although recently mine has started misting up slightly in the mornings. Think it's down to not having a good run out for a while
