Hissing/Popping Noise from All Speakers

Hi,

I have a very annoying hissing/popping noise that comes from the speakers on my A7 (Non Bose system). It seems to be worse when the car has stood outside in damp/wet conditions and gradually decreases as the car warms up when driven.

This noise can come any/all of the speakers independently, is totally independent of the sound source selected and the volume knob has no effect on the sound level of the hissing noise, which is always at full volume.

I have had a look at the amplifier in the left hand side panel in the tailgate which seem to be dry with all connectors firmly in place.

I did return the car to my dealer for this same fault earlier in the year, when the sound seemed to be only from the bas sub-woofer which was replaced, but the fault is now back with the damp winter weather.

Does anyone have any idea where to look next??

If still under warranty, get it back to the dealer as messing may invalidate your warranty

I have a booking to get it looked at by my dealer in two weeks time, so I will report back on what is found.
