1.8t oil changes

How many miles between oil changes do you recommend for my 1.8t avant?
I've just had the pump change and from what I can make out the previous owner didn't have a clue about regular servicing.
The car has done just over 125,000 miles and the previous owner had a replacement turbo at 120,000.
Any 'known' faults in the 1.8t 20v..rather look now then have an expensive bill.

Hi, i do 10,000 miles a year in my 1.8T, its serviced by an audi specialist every year and i change the oil inbetween services i.e 5000 miles. I use Quantum oil in the silver container, its a semi synthetic, i would not recommend putting fully synthetic in a high mileage car if its not been run on fully synthetic for all its life. Mine is on 165K with no probs as such apart from front suspension arms and steering rack and front wheel bearings.

Hi, thanks for that.
I do on average 500 miles per week, mostly to and from work.
The pump was done by a VAG specialist in Bletchley. Also have VAGtech not far from where I work.
Was going to look at REVO mapping but not so sure about having it done on a 125,000 petrol turbo. Not convinced by the acclaimed 195 bhp either.
Any views?
