After watching last night BBC1 Watchdog program it was pointed out that a thief with the right equipment can drive away your price Audi in under 2 mins? How you may ask by simply programing a Blank key.

They gave out a free phone number to book your Audi in for a FREE security software update 0800 093 0110
I have mine booked in on Monday to have this update carried out free of charge.

Just thought I post this in case you guys missed the program or catch it on BBC iplayer.

since the beginning of time, car thieves have been able to overcome any security device fitted to any car. the pro's will buy a new model so they can then make the tools to nick them. it started with overcoming sophisticated key patterns, then immobilisers, and now these keyless jobbies. no matter what the manufacturers do, the thieves will work a way around it. simples.
i used to be able to drive off in my old nova in about 30 seconds without the key.

I think its worth a phone call to my dealer to see if any updates are required for my new A4 Black Edition.

As an added bit of security I took Ann's advice and purchase myself a "Stoplock" Steering wheel lock for £49.99 from Halfords, small price to pay if it deters them from stealing my car :-)

Take a look on YouTube and see how long it takes for thieves to deal with this lock ......... Seems these type of locks are not so secure.
