    All,

After owning 2 Golf MkIV's we have now progressed to a MkVI (2.0 TDI GT with DSG). We loved the earlier cars and are really enjoying this however we have noticed that there doesn't appear to be a 'lights left on' warning buzzer?
Is this a standard fitment on all Golfs? Should my car have this? It has tinted windows but doesn't seem to have the convenience pack fitted.

    Can someone confirm?

    Thanks
    Ferds

Nice upgrade, 2.0 TDI DSG is a great combo!

In terms of the warning buzzer, it should come on when the sidelights are left but the normal lights are switched off automatically if left on I thought?

Its your first post so I will ask this only once. You will see that regular users show their car spec in their signature.

If it's not buzzing then you may have a door microswitch problem, does the MFA thing show the doors are open?

if the car has auto headlights and the switch is in the auto lights mode then you won't get a warning buzzer - because the 'auto' function will kill the lights after you close the door and/or take it into coming home/leaving home mode.

if you leave the sidelights on then you will get a warning buzzer

It's not just the auto setting - when manually set to headlights on, mine doesn't buzz either. Just turns all lights off when locked.
