If you have MMI Nav+ and Audi Connect you can send addresses straight to your car's sat nav from google. (See here to set up: Std SD SatNav or MMI Nav Plus? - Page 3)

Or at least you could until google added the new style google maps and broke it. Well its back in the new version of google maps, although maybe a bit more fiddly.

First of all, you have to have a google account and be logged in. Once that's done you can link your google account to the audi account here: Send to Car Settings

Once that's done, search on the map, and sometimes you will now see a "send to car" option below the address. I say sometimes because unlike before you can't just do it on any old random spot on the map, it has to be a "known" location.

To get the location in the car go to nav/destination/online destination/call up from audi account.

Thanks for the write up. I stopped using Google maps and just use the iPhone app to send destinations to the car now.

Given up on using Google maps on my pc to locate my destination and then sending it to the car. Too frequently the information that arrives is not known / incorrectly interpreted by the car.

E.g I use a post code to locate an address on Google maps, send it to the car which does not recognize the information ( don't know if it's a post code that is sent, a grid location or what) and the car decides to head for the centre of the town. It doesn't communicate the problem it's having it just does it.

I now just enter the info directly into the car. Even then there are a number of perfectly valid post codes the car doesn't know about and have to go through the rigmarole of entering the town and then the street.

Have to say not very impressed with the satnav, picks clearly sub optimal routes, does not re-route when stuck in traffic when there is a perfectly viable alternative route and if you have the voice guidance muted there is no indication that it has re-routed due to traffic. Oh, and the maps are really out of date, roads that have existed for several year are missing.

Hi guys, sorry to resurrect this thread but I need a hand with finding where I need to enter my PIN from MMI Connect within Audi Connect on the MMI.

It's says in the PDF I have from myaudi.com that you press Menu go to Audi Connect and login. I don't have the login option.
Has anyone else had this issue?

    Cheers

    Steve

I've just read the quick reference guide and its in the back of there. Go to NAV destinations, online destination, call up destinations from myAudi account and it will ask you then to enter the PIN.

Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
