Hi all, I have recently bought a year 2000 a6 2.5 diesel estate. It's lovely and only done 116000 miles. But it seems to sit very low and I'm sure the back sits lower than the front. Does this model have the air suspension? I don't have any buttons inside to adjust ride height. If not then why is it sat so low and how do I fix? I'm also convinced that it's lower in the morning after it has stood all night !?
love the car but need to sort this, any help very much appreciated.
    thanks in advance

Only the Allroad has air suspension.
It could be - broken springs, wrong springs, factory sports suspension, aftermarket lowered suspension, wrong size wheels or tyres.
The sticker in the spare wheel void and in the service booklet has all the build data codes for exactly how the car left the factory including suspension and wheel types / sizes. There are websites available to decode these codes.

I thought adaptive (i.e. not manually adjustable) rear air suspension was an option on C5 avants.

The online parts catalogue shows it as a 2000 avant option, at any rate.

Looking behind one of the rear wheels will be a dead giveaway - if there's a great big pneumatic-looking rubbery thing instead of a spring, then it's got pneumatic suspension.

Which could well have a leak.

Then the thing to do is ask Mr Leaks'Я'Us Bagpiping Andy for help.
