Over the years I have gathered a collection of about 10 different silver touch-up paints, and I have usually found one that will match the wheel paint on whichever is my current car.

However, none of the paints I have is a good match for the paint on the Monte Carlo wheels on my Passat Sport. The main problem is finding a paint which will give the same degree of reflection that the factory paint has.

Can anyone recommend a particular paint for these wheels?

    TIA

    Mike

I recommend getting a pack of Wurth alloy wheel paint and laquer. It’s a bit pricey but matches VW original.A pack will do several coats, 4 wheels, with paint to spare.

Thanks Teflon. I may give the Wurth paint a try, though since I only want to touch in a couple of small areas rather than respray the whole wheel, £25 for two cans of spray seems overkill. Ever the optimist, I was hoping someone had found a touch-in stick which gave a reasonable match.
