A3 1.9TDI DPF / Engine Manegement / Glow Plug

Hi guys,

Got an issue with my A3 1.9 TDI 59 plate.
The DPF light came on a couple of days ago, and I usually just take it for a quick run for a few miles on high revs which gets rid of it.

But this morning, I got a light on my dash which was flashing, looked this light up and it was the Glow Plug light.
Went out again today, and the Engine Management Light has also come on, so i now have all 3 lights on. There is no power to the car, like it's in some sort of limp mode.

I've had it looked at by a local garage who hooked up the computer to read fault codes, and the only fault was DPF. So I've been advised to drive it for around 10miles on 3rd/4th gear at 3000 revs. Did this, no change. Filled up with more diesel too, and still the same problem.

What next? Audi dealership? Any ideas whats likely to be wrong, what will need doing and a likely cost? The guys at the garage mentioned something about regenerate? But they're not allowed to do it and to take it to Audi.

Maybe blocked dpf? What is saying in description of fault code?

Well, they never said.

if it is a blocked DPF... What will that require to fix?

If its blocked . So i think needs cleaning or removing

I don't have a car with dpf. So can't help too much. But my friends car jump into limp when dpf was blocked. So he removed totaly fited some kind emulator and so far so good.bit better performance too

It could be something as simple as a sensor, so I would advise getting someone with a bit of knowledge to diagnose it.

indeed, unless we know the actual fault code then no one can actually give you any correct information. your garage are out of their depth, look at the vcds map, find a local member and come back with the actual fault code.
