Just a random one as both mine and the wifes insurance are up for renewal and they are so different, just wondered what you are paying for your A7.

    Mine is insured for:
63 plate BiTDi A7 with most options going.
    29 years old
Currently serving in HM forces (6 times more likely to be in an RTA than a civvy)
    11 years driving
    9 years no claims
    12000 miles a year
Fully comp with business insurance and wife as a named driver.......£304 for the year - less than half than I paid last year.
Car value from a paid online service £46,000

    Wifes is insured for:
12 plate A5 with most options going
    28 years old
Currently serving in HM forces (6 times more likely to be in an RTA than a civvy)
    11 years driving
    9 years no claims
    12000 miles a year
Fully comp with business insurance and me as a named driver.......£370
Car value from a paid online service £24,000

Insurance makes no sense does it!

Headings below for anyone that wants to play.......

I think your going to get some wildly different costs here.....location is the biggest influence on insurance premiums apart from driving experience.
To the OP...where do live? As an example I drive an A6 Avant 2.0 tdie and I pay £420 a year but live in London....

£175 from Churchill which I think is pretty decent. 10k miles a year, company director, no claims or points etc. I think there's some discount associated with insuring my wife's and son's cars with them (on separate policies), but they are also quite cheap - £145 for the Golf and £330 for my 21yr old son in a new Mini Cooper.

Since there are I think similar threads in all other Audi car model sections can those without A7's actually state their model and where they live please, otherwise a little meaningless

When/if I buy my A7 (hopefully 2016) it's nice to get a feel for what my insurance outlay is and am surprised thus far!

On my A6 C6 with 9yrs protected NCB and 32yrs driving with 6 points and limited to 12k miles am paying £230 with Tesco bank, but then Somerset is hardly the hotbed of crime....yet! My Jaguar however has limited miles (6k) and despite being a 4.0 V8 paid just £109 this year!
