I guess a main contribution to keeping the rise in the RRP so low is currency rates. £ vs Euro is now 1.28; mid year it was about 1.22. On a £35K cost that is worth about £1.7K.

Doing some quick calculations on a 2.0 Ultra Avant the old cars listed at £32985. To that they have added AMI (£260), 4 Zone AC (£620) and BiXenon headlights (£1255). That would have taken the old car to a list price of £35120, yet its new list price is £33955. Likewise with an S-Line, the old list price was £34835 they have added LED headlights (£1255), 4 Zone AC (£620) and AMI (£260) which would have taken it to £36975 compared to a new list price of £36405. SE spec seems to have come off slightly better based on this, but what ever the facelift car is slightly better value although no doubt the deals will reflect that and it will be at best neutral when it comes to buying pre or post facelift. The material put up the other day suggested the facelift cars also got Colour DIS as standard (as happened with the C6 facelift) but the info on the Audi website says only mono, but that may be an error of course

I see they have managed not to achieve another timescale. Hardly surprising.

The base prices for the A6 are still showing on the mobile site (with the exception of the A6 avant. S6 and RS6 avant still show).

I understand that what we're calling the facelift version is properly called "PI" - is that correct? And if so, where do those letters come from?!
