    Afternoon people,

Having an issue with my clutch pedal.

While driving it sometimes just sticks to the floor. Obviously this is not how it is designed to be.

I checked my oil levels last night and they were good, however, the oil was black...

This problem seems to be remedied by having the gear in neutral and pumping the pedal, once this is done the clutch somewhat seems normal.

    Anyone any ideas?

I have heard slave cylinder, but im not sure where that is on my model, as i have heard of 2 locations!

    thanks

    Andrew

As you don't tell us what car you have you are not helping anyone to help you.

In general though I'd start by renewing the hydraulic fluid. While doing this you will bleed the system. Hydraulic fluid should be renewed every 2 years.

When you say oil levels - how many do you have? Engine oil will be black if it is a diesel or if it is old. Change your engine oil and filter every 10,000 miles or 12 months whichever comes soonest.

If you don't know what you're doing use a reputable garage.
