Audi Extended warranty or warrantywise

Hi All

My MY12 is Audi A4 is of warranty Feb 2015 so i am starting to look at prices for extended warranty, only thing so far that has needed Audi repairs was a led went in the fuel guage and the console which required changing, i saw the bill to Audi as labour £300 and £900 so i am worried about future repairs
Audi extended is about £500 a year ( doesnt cover DPF) or warranywise £400 or £800 for 2 year cover but covers DPF.

Has anybody any experience of Audi cover or Warrantywise

I've had experience of both, avoid WarrantyWise like the plague.

Agree with Chris - either go with the Audi warranty if you really (really) want the peace of mind, or better still whack the cash in a savings account and leave it there until you need it. DPF should be good for 100k at least as long as you do the odd run to clear it out and don't switch it off when it is doing a regen, and the clutch and DMF can be replaced for less than a grand at a good indy.

My '09 has done 80k now, and has had a clutch & DMF within a few weeks of me buying it two years ago, and the only other thing (touch wood) has been a front nearside wheel bearing - and that was just over £200 at my indy.

I took out Warrantywise for 3 years @£1100. 3 years is almost up and only used them once for a £300 repair, which they paid up without any drama. My car was with Audi for a service when the problem was identified. Audi contacted Warrantywise for me, who gave approval for the repair within the hour. Can't fault them based on this one experience.

AUTOGUARD

3 years for about £400 and that covers you fo rthe life of the car or your ownership. After the first 3 years you call autoguard show them your docs and they renew on an annual basis - all covered by initial costs.

got mine through the garage i bought the car from...... about to test it with a new clutch senor switch for the automatic brake. They have said good to go.
