Can anyone tell me if I have a faulty DIS display on the dash display? I have a friend who has an A4 & when he turns on the ignition it displays 'OK' but on my 2004 A3 2.0 TDi Sport (pre-facelift) there's nothing. The display does work as I get stereo, radio information & when I disconnect the brake pad wear indicator the pad wear icon shows up at the top of the display & also when I remove a sidelight bulb the text of 'Parking light' & a bulb icon is displayed so the display is working but there's no 'OK' when I 1st turn the ignition on. Is this how they are or should there be a CANBUS test & an 'OK' to signify the CANBUS test is ok upon ignition?

If you don't have the rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk you don't have DIS.
