Can anyone tell me does the European SE have the twin exhausts on the right hand side of the car. Was thinking it would look nice to have a pair of twin exhausts .
    Thanks

Can you tell us more about the car?
    Is it brand new?
    What engine is it?

The twin exhaust on the left hand side of the car was associated with the 177bhp 2.0 TDi engine. Since the switch to the 2.0 Ultra engine all A6s now have a singe exhaust on both sides, except the S6 which has a pair on each side

Are you looking to upgrade your exhaust? The active exhaust on the BiTDI models sounds amazing and you won't regret it if you are.

You can just change the rear section of the exhaust and the valance. Swapping exhausts is probably the No. 1 mod on the Audi TT forums.

They are all pretty much interchangeable, even the extra exhaust hanger (£18 from Audi) just bolts on to an existing mounting point.

Just for clarity, you can't just swap the BiTDi exhaust. That will work, but it won't make noises without other bits being changed.

Thanks for the replies guys.....basically it was just for ascetics just thought 2 exhausts each side would look nice. Have to sop the modding bug from taking over. All
our previous Fords have been modded but we want to change this car in 2 years and upgrade to the next model

AFAIK the pre-Ultra models have a dual exhaust to the left, at least here in "Europe" except the BiTdi and S6.

Not exactly right. Prior to the Ultra 2.0, all 3.0 TDis (and I guess the 3.0 Supercharged lump) had two exhausts, one either side of the car (S6 is the same I think.. and RS6, but they are drain pipes, was looking at one in Brussels airport last week). The pre-Ultra 2.0 TDis had two smaler exhausts grouped together on the left as you note.
