    Hi Guys,

    I have a 55 plate Passat B6, 1.9TDI with 105k on the clock.

Its coming up for its MOT and its on a long life service plan. I was thinking of changing the service to be a regular service interval and performing a service on it. (even tho i did one last year on it and the car is telling me its not required yet).

just asking on your thoughts? As the car is old-ish with 105K on the clock and i only do 10k a year on it, mainly commuting to and from work etc with the odd run on the motorway, am i better off changing to regular?

I've always thought the long life service is waaay too long but maybe cars nowadays are good at calculating stuff out and mking better use of oil?

    Thanks

engines are no different to 30 years ago, oil has come a long way though. change it every year and watch it grow to mega miles. stick to longlife and get ready to start having things wear out.
