Hi, first post so here goes, the car started 'chirping' yesterday, not from the engine but from the alarm, I think. It carries on when the engine is stopped, car locked or unlocked with or without key. I thought I'd cured it by disconnecting the battery and joining the two leads together for 30 secs or so but it started again 5 mins down the rd. Any ideas?
Ps I can't find any trapped birds!

Backup battery in the alrm sounder on the way out, or water ingress to the sounder. Not uncommon.
    Plenty posts on the solution
