    Hello,

As the title says, I want to change from the AFB to the BAU engine due to engine failure in the AFB. I was wondering if it's possible to just swap without putting up new wires and such. Does everything match?

    Hi,
I'll have to answer this AFAIK/R where the last letter is remember.
OK, the AFB and the BAU have totally different ECU's with different connectors meaning the wireing won't fit. They have different injectors so the AFB injectors won,t fit in the BAU heads. In addition there are a few other misfits, I think the vacumpump have
    different connectors.
So the easy way seems to use the AFB Injection pump and ECU and just use the BAU injectors, however these injectors have higher opening pressure and are more restrictive than the old AFB injectors, so I'm afraid engine power will suffer ...
    BAU pump and ECU ?
Don't think the Cluster in your car( immo 2 ) will accept the BAU ECU and especially the pump ( BAU pump have Immo, AFB don't) and no matter what the wireing have to be changed.

As above, use the block with heads and use injector pump from AFB. BAU injectors are larger than AFB and they will be a nice increase in power and also quieter...assuming they are from allroad ! You will need to cut and replace the needle lift injector plug to fit the new injectors but cut it on the car side NOT on the injector...
