Can someone please advise how the folding mirror option works? Can you set it so they fold shut when the engine is switched off and back on when you start up via the MMI controls. I take it that you can also manually override as and when required.

    Thanks

There is a switch on the drivers door, basically when you start the engine the mirrors will unfold. When you lock the car they will fold in. They can be manually folded in and back out again using the switch. Dependant on the switch position, they can have dip when in reverse or be heated also.

Bingodingo the A7 I had on loaned last week did not have this feature. Check the rotary switch it will have 4 positions. One of the icons will be like a folding mirror. If it isn't there the mirrors do not fold.

You can also switch them off so they only fold manually.
