    I'd try a new switch, only new and genuine however.

    No new ones on eBay but buying from a known breaker is worthwhile considering - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A3-8P...item19e8b0f0fe

    To remove yours, turn it to the OFF position, then push in the switch fully then while pushing in, turn it to the right and it will release from the dash trim.

    Have had it out and given it the obligatory whack but to no avail. Haha
