    Hi All,
I am trying to replace the bootlight with an LED light but it does not want to work. The place I bought them from assure me that they are error free LED's. The problem I am getting is that when I lock/Unlock the boot the LED flashes 5 times and will then not light up. I have attached a video of it.

Could this be down to the incorrect bulb as I have tried to Google the flashing light but could find nothing. I have also tried the light in the Glovebox and it works fine in that.

The supplier has said that I am welcome to send back if I cannot get them to work.

This is the item that I have.

XENON CANBUS LED KIT upgrade AUDI A3 8P/8PA 03-13 Interior Light GLOVE BOX LAMP | eBay

Any help would be appreciated or any suggestions to a suitable LED replacement.

This is for an 2004 Audi A3 2.0Tdi

    Regards,

    Simon...

That's a canbus fault, the car sends a pulse of electricity to test the bulbs on the car. It doesn't recognise this one as being compatible. The bulbs you need are about £3-5 each off eBay. Search for "T20 wedge led canbus" and you will get hundreds of results. One of the top few from a uk seller should be fine.

Well decided to try another supplier on ebay with a different type and when I have installed in the boot they do not work either. I get the same flashing error. These are the ones I tried this time:

    I'm at a loss now!

Here is a video of the new bulbs doing the exact same thing:
