    Hi all,

Recently i have been experiencing an issue with my 2007 Audi A3 2.0 TDI (PD140 Non-DPF).

The issue occurs on initial start up in the mornings. After starting the engine (with the car in neutral and clutch pushed in fully), upon releasing the clutch to roughly biting point, i am hearing a faint whirring/rubbing noise coming from the front of the car.

The noise dissappears as i release the clutch fully or when its pressed in fully. It only seems to occur when the clutch is at biting point. Also the noise is only noticeable when the car is cold. As i drive down my street or after a few mins of driving, the noise is not there.

There are no issues with the driveability of the car, no MPG or performance losses. The car is on roughly 70k miles.

Upon listening to the noise closely i fear that i have a faulty clutch release bearing? However i am hoping that someone is going to tell me otherwise.

Any help would be much appreciated as i rely on the car as my daily driver!

    Cheers.

Unfortunately not. I left it and it still makes the noise. Shouldn't be an issue as long as the car works mechanically (*touchwood). Just turn the radio up if it bothers you that much! ;-)
