Hi everyone. I've been quoted £558 from Lancaster, Letchworth for a timing belt/water pump/coolant/brake fluid change. Does anyone know anywhere cheaper? An old post on another forum recommended someone called Jochin trading as VWGROUP but the links don't work. Thanks in advance!

hi - did you ever find anyone recommended for non-franchise work? we've had issues with my daughter's Mk5 GT Sport (1.4 TSi Twincharger); Perfection Automotive at bedford seemed a good deal, but the fault kept coming back after every visit - couldn't identify, then new Intercooler would fix it, then it needed a sensor, then another sensor...) gave up with them and went to Lancaster Letchworth. the RAC warranty we had is almost maxed out, as it's taken more than two weeks, and about £800 so far for investigations, new plugs, then fuel pump relay/solenoid, after which it broke down completely, now they fitted a new Turbo valve solenoid (N75?) and a new fuel pump.
I was wondering about the Bosch Autotune place behind Supertyres Hitchin....they used to work on my old 635 years ago, but couldn't do a good job on a saab I had.
