Dectane MODA05F Modulite Daytime Running Light Audi A4 B7 S-Line 05-08 with Fog Lights: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

so i would like to pimp my new A4 avant B7 and put some DRL on it, i saw these, ideal, and i see that they come with a loom, my question is, as i am new to Audi`s, does this loom connect them them straight into the car, or replace a loom to allow connectivity etc?

Or has any one fitted these to there B7? and what do you think?

    many thanks.

    john.

Yes i had these fitted with my xenons. They looked good once set up but i had to splice into a live wire nearby as the instructions suggest going into the fusebox which is in the car itself. The fitting of the units themselves was ok but you have to make sure they properly locate and pull on them just to make sure they don't pop out.

They looked great with the xenons i'll put a pic up....

    Hi
I know this is not a new post - but i was just wondering if you ever bought & fitted the kit and what your thoughts were?
The lights in discobarry photo look spot on!
    Anyone else tried DRL's?
    thanks

I would love to know where you broke in, instead of doing this? and any pictures would be a help, also the `white wire` in my instructions needs to go in pin #10 of the headlight plug? could`nt get the bloody plug off!

i didnt go for Dectanes in the end, amazon had an offer on some `Autostyle` ones, down to less that £100! so i took a punt on them....

think they exactly the same, but with the loom not as proffesionally finished off.

I will post pictures and a `how too` when i get a dry day to fit them.

    Thanks.

well thanks for the 2 people that did take the time out of there busy lives to reply to me in this thread, shame then `discobarry ` seems to have fallen of the planet since.

DRL`s now installed on the car and wired in.

bit of a problem there as it states to wire them in to F26 (heated rear window) but this is wrong especially on a car after 2004, as then the lights are perminently on!
so looking to wire them into F3 (washer jet heaters) as a local car electrics specilist has suggested.

i can confirm that using F3, the DRLs now work, and do not stay on with ignition off, so thats the way forward.

not sure about keeping them to autodim when lights are on? will see how they look in the dark, i might disable that feature?
