Hi,

I bought a 2012 V6 Diesel Phaeton at the end of last month and straightaway noticed a slight judder when braking - particularly when braking from motorway speeds. It's definitely there as when I tool into a dealer yesterday, they noticed it on a test drive and took the wheels off to see what might be causing it. In the end, they said it was probably down to the ABS "kicking in" as everything was "normal" (as apparently the brake pads and discs were fine).

It surely can't be normal to feel such a distinct juddering when braking? My other car (which I'm trying to sell now) is a 55-plate Passat October 2005, which also has ABS, but exhibits no juddering when braking.

What can be causing the juddering in the Phaeton?

Thanks!
