ET offset help and/or experience needed

Hi guys, I'm trying my luck here as everyone seems very knowledgeable on here.


I've got the option of some nice rims at a very good price for my Audi 80 cab, with either of the following options:


7x17 ET 42
7x17 ET 28


Either a 205 or 215 tire will fit the alloy, so has anyone experience if either of these offsets will fit with a planned 35 or 40mm drop, or, has anyone got either of these offsets on their cabriolet? Not sure if the age makes any difference, but mines a year 2000.

Hi I have a Audi A4 cabriolet 2005, the wheel offset is 42. Go to Google and type in Audi wheel chart.

Hi, thanks for the response, but it's an Audi 80 cabriolet and I know that the standard ET is 35, but I was wondering on the aesthetics of wheel to arch and rub against the track rod end on either of the ETs mentioned. I was hoping a member would have had experience of these and/or have pictures of the fit.
