Is it in that position when driving or is it removed before driving off ?

When driving the screen is up as in folded in. Therefore you can't really see the camera as it's behind the rear view mirror.

So there is nothing in the field of vision when driving ?

Slightly better picture! As you can see my mirror is a 'TFT screen used for my reverse camera, and that's approximately 33% bigger than the original mirror... But you only see the corner of the recorder... Obviously I'm still in the honeymoon period so I've still to find its optimum spot... But it'll remain discreet!

Aly - did you consider telling your insurance you now have a safety camera and see if they lower your premium?

Having words with the Mrs tonight about the camera. Seeing a local specialist too this week.

How did you route your cable up into the headliner? I'm thinking of popping off the cover for the light/rain sensor to minimise the cable showing.

Not the most expensive I know, but it was tried and tested on another forum. I bought one about a year back but I had to return it due to a fault. So thought I'd give it another go.
I know a few people run these here but if your looking for a cheap alternative this is a bargain. Only additional item i needed was an SD card, which I had already

I'm thing about a rear camera also and was looking into something more discreet. Like the link below.
