A6 4b c5 cruise control

Hello,
I'm looking into fitting cruise control to my 2000 1.8t A6. How do I go about finding out if my car is compatible with cruise control, I.e. can I just buy the stalk and get it activated with vagcom or do I need to do some wiring?

Hi,I did ths last year. very simple.You cant just buy the stalk you must buy the wiring aswell. Plug and Play system.I live in germany so got my complete set from www.cum-cartec.de i sent some details to the company and they told me my car was set up for CC.They sent me the instructions in english aswell, which came with pictures. Took a few days for delivery and only paid €30 (bout £20). I hate doing electrics but like i said plug and play then i got Audi to activate it (which they done for free). Install took me about 1hr in total.
