Thanks, I now understand how it works.
So, the problem is that either the iq readings are bad or the readings are correct.
lets sum up what you did that plays a part on injection:
- Pump has been replaced, problem remained.
- injectors were replaced, problem remained.
- engine speed sensor replaced, problem remained.
- ECU replaced, problem remained.
- ECU/pump cabling checked, problem remained.
- fuel supply has been checked, problem remained.
- air supply triple checked, turbo, intake mainfold, check, check, problem remained.
- exhaust checked, problem remained.
- did I forget anything ?
what can cause the injectors from the same head to report bad readings or to inject more/less than the other bank?
1 - the high pressure fuel pipes that go from the pump to each those injectors can be clogged, causing a bad injection and good reading.
2 - the injectors have a harder/easier time injecting on that particular head and as such they inject less/more, causing a bad injection and good reading
3 - the 6 pins on the flywheel are related to each of the injectors and the three particular pins that relate to the three injectors that display anormal readings are in someway damaged, causing a good injection and bad reading ( actually the bad reading leads to a bad injection
) ( I'm obviously assuming that the pins are related, something that I have high doubts about ).
4 - anything else on your mind?
After I re-read the thread it came as a striking coincidence that you have bad readings only on one head and the heads have diferent setups. When you took the engine apart one had a 2 hole headgasket and another one a thicker three hole headgasket, both of them not original, meaning that prior to the car falling in your hands someone messed with those two heads.
Is the diference in thickness enough to change the pressure inside the chamber as such that the injectors have a harder/lesser time injecting? Or maybe the diference in volume affects the flywheel motion because the pistons will work with less resistence in one head than the other? are the two heads equal in height? maybe one was shaved more than the other or the PN's are diferent and thus the volumetry from one head to the other difers even more?
I love coincidences because they usually are not
