Cheers, I'm hoping for about PS300 as PS240 IMO would have been easy as later 3.0 are @ that..

Unlike 1 of my mate's with a Skyline/GT-R(r35)@600BHP and I thought I was having a mid life crisis...

    Once I've had chains done...

As I've already said before, the alientech units are all used by different tuning companies and just simply re-badged with each tuning companies logo on it. The more important choice to make with them is on who you want to actually make the maps for your pride and joy!
Yes you can buy cheaper, i'm not the most competitive on these unless I get a group buy of 10 units but then the real difference comes into play with the quality of the maps that Is supplied with units purchased from me. There are tuners who knock a map up in 15mins and then there are real tuners who can take an hour or so to modify the map correctly.

All I am trying to do is make a decision on what it best... weather it be a remap or have an option of having a unit in which holds the orginal vehicle map, performance remap and also an eco remap so I can chose which one I wanna use during any given time...

Whilst I understand remaps are a good thing, I also like to have options and must be cost effective....

Right the thing about the powergate is that you are actually remapping the vehicles software. If you buy a powergate from whoever and opt for 2 maps (eco & power) then it is going to cost a little more but when you come to change the vehicle you can reset your current car to standard and then reset the unit and it will be ready to use on your next vehicle & all you have to do is purchase new maps.
In my opinion it is more cost effective and gives you the options your after. Oh and if I haven't mentioned it already, it also dose obd scanning & clearing which is a bonus.
Just trying to help you out here as there is so much on the market and I have been through quite a bit of it with the goal of trying to give the best advise I can.

Exactly where I’m coming from… Just feel at themoment that these remap switch boxes give the individual the flexibly when itcomes to which ECU map to run on the car… either being performance or eco, plusI thing it will help with the vehicles value when reselling and as you said allyour really paying for is a set of new..

So can I ask whats the cost of a powergate

    Right I've sorted things!
If we can get a group buy of 10 going then the prices will be as follows:
    1 X-console/ powergate with 1 map £360 delivered.
    OR
    1 X-console/ powergate with 2 maps £455 delivered.

As said, there are cheaper but I guarantee the quality of the maps with these.

I guess these do not work with the tune protected Bosch ECUs?

At present these do not work with the edc17 protected ecu's on Audi's but they do work on a few of the bmw versions, which yes i know is no good for VAG owners.
Please see here for full up to date application list: http://www.alientech-to.it/dox/Pwglist.pdf
When I get a chance later I'll be starting the group buy in the current offers section.

    Hi Swampey

I see you're in Surrey. My area fo the world. I offer VWAF members a remap for £225. Having been a sponsor for a couple of years nearly now, I have remapped many members cars.

I notice you have a couple of concerns including what happens if a dealer overwrites the new map, and maybe would want to put the standard map back if you sell the car. In either case, once we have remapped a car we will handle these free of charge.

Feel free to give me a call if you'd like to talk it through.

    Regards

    Paul
