I am interested in the behavior of air suspension when everything properly. Does the car is at position 3 when it is parked?

How long does it normally takes to achieve a given position of the car?

If you park in the evening , how many mm auto "fall" down in the morning?

Is this normal operation of air compressor (one sequence) is 30 sec?

    Thanks in advance,
    B

I'll try to answer tyour questions in relation to how my Alroads perfprmed...

I am interested in the behavior of air suspension when everything properly. Does the car is at position 3 when it is parked?

If you mean "does the car sit at level 3 when parked: Answer is Yes.

How long does it normally takes to achieve a given position of the car?

Mine takes just over a minute to go from one level to the next. I know this isn't good because bagpipingandy's newly refurbished compressors do it in 18 seconds...I'm living with it for now.

If you park in the evening , how many mm auto "fall" down in the morning?

    Not at all.

Is this normal operation of air compressor (one sequence) is 30 sec?

Normally longer than that, but shouldn't run for minutes. Sounds like your compressor is OK.

I'm not sure abouit the logic, but my compressor always stops when I come to a standstill, so it may be disabled when stationary so as to not offend the rear passengers (unless you press the buttons to change levels)..

If you have a bag leak, it's more likely to affect one end than the other (usually the front). Sinking down evenly probably points to the air lines going to the valve block or the valve block itself.

I agree with kid-jenson, difficult to describe a normal operation as they are have different levels of wear, but they can run from 18 secs at best level 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 the same, level 3 to 4 takes longer, the max it will run is 120 secs, this will throw up an error, it shuts off and waits for a bit then will try again. if your compressor works within this range it is fine,

It should not sink, if it sinks it has a leak.

are you experiencing issues or just checking?

    Regards
    Andy

Based on comments on the forum and based on my check of the car air compressor is #1. suspect. I will post my experiences after a compressor rebuild.

I would add that the suspension is very slow going up and the compressor is "unnatural" sound.

    Thanks again and best regards,
    B

Ok, thought I might add in a bit from my experience...

I usually hear compressor running for approx 30 secs at a time, mine is weak now also.
That would vary I guess depending on compressors health.
If takes long to raise its definatelly knackered.
When there is enough pressure in reservoir it raises a level in 20-25 secs.
Mine does not have MAN option on controls and it stays in which ever level i leave it on parked, I tend to stay in 3rd, to prolong spring life and reduce sagging I have at front...

Normally suspension should not sag at all "fall down" unless you have a leak somewhere.
