The following vehicles with the engine codes listed are affected.

Passat 3C 2006-2008 with the BKP, BMA, BWV, BVE, BMR, and BUZ engines

Golf 5 2006-2009 with the BMN engine

Touran 2006-2010 with the BMN engine

IIRC the engine gives no prior indication of failing injectors - it just stops - dead.
I had read that, but that was 2 1/2 years ago.

I guess I'm asking if any more engine codes have developed the same or similar faults, and are maybe included now.

The list (18 months ago?) comprised all those cars fitted with the failing Siemens injectors.

The initial 'recall' started around July 2011, and since it identified cars/engines up to 2010 I would guess yours would have been included. VW knew which injectors were faulty and which cars had them, without owners such as yourself having to wait for the problem to develop. VW France were less willing to act - I had to wait till April this year to get them to change mine.

Hopefully Crasher will read your post and confirm. Failing that, as you suggest, a trip to your dealer, but getting a scan would be top of my list.

The 1.9 is generally reckoned to be a better engine. Wish I'd known that before I bought mine.

Let us know how you get on. Fingers crossed it's something trivial!

    Hi all,

Got my V5 couple of days ago and been to VW Dealer in northampton for injector change.
As some of you know my injectors failed twice since I bought the car...
Thanks god they were replaced by my warranty so didn't had to pay for them.

Now have an appointment booked with VW for tomorrow (Thursday - 11/09/2014)

Took them a while to agree for a recall as they were trying to make an excuse saying like, oh...this offer was made to the owner on 2011 and it's been 3 years ago blah blah blah...
Told them that recall is a recall and it hasn't been done on the car so I want it to be done.

One thing I didn't asked them, will they change all 4 or only two that are still old?

Anyway, will keep let you know how it goes on Thursday evening

Thank you all for your help and advice.

Was hoping that they will replace all 4 even though 2 of them have already been replaced.
Just so that all 4 of them are same brand and have official VW warranty.

But oh well...I suppose it's better than nothing

I expect they will only change those with the affected part numbers.

    Under Campaign 23H9

All pump injector elements with the part number

    03G 130 073 D or
    03G 130 073 M
must be replaced. All other pump injector elements are correct and must not be replaced.

Left my car with VW today and got 2 injectors replaced.

    Happy dayz
Also had free health check and they told me that both of my rear coil springs are broken

Quoted me £475 for both of them...
Told them to leave it as It's too expensive...

Anyway, injectors changed and car washed for free

    Happy dayz.

    Thank you all for help.

That's way OTT for a pair of rear springs, we fit a genuine pair for £320 all in. Don't fit non genuine springs EXCEPT if you can get Suplex.

Lots of people are fitting Eibach Pro with Bilstein B4 or Sachs SuperTouring shocks to give 30mm drop from standard height (-10mm from sport height).
Is there anything wrong with that?
