2.0 tdi smoking!!! help please

my 170 2.0tdi has a smoking issue on startup and tickover, its verry slightly blue ish, which says oil, and near enough disapears when ots warm, its all saying turbo to me as its just done 100k but obviously im hoping it might be somthing less seriouse, has anyone else had a similar problem or knows of one, any help much apreciated cheers

if it was the turbo it would smoke both hot and cold,does the engine use oil??

dosnt seem to just serviced it so ill monitor it, rememberd that its got a green cotton filter on and ive heard of it messing with the MAF, il go down that route first cheers

I have Audi a3 2008 2.0 tdi and recently noticed smoke coming from under the bonnet, on closer inspection it seems to be coming from near the cat? I ve had a few people look over the car and I ve been assured that there s no problem?! Now I m no expert but this can not normal there no warnings lights nothing on the computer no loss of power nothing anybody got any ideas??

I don't know if this is your issue but if your engine has a DPF there's a clamp that holds the turbo onto the inlet of the filter that comes loose letting exhaust gasses escape into the engine bay. See attached pic.
