Hello. Got a 2004 touran 1.9LTDI. I attempted to change the coolant but unfortunately cannot proceed as i am having difficulty finding the drain plug. Can anyone help me with these or possibly provide photos so I can easily find it. Many thanks in advance.

If it has one it will be on the outlet pipe on the lower left corner of the radiator.

The left of the radiator is on the left of the car, looking at it from below on the back of the radiator, looking forwards. You cannot see it from above, you have to get underneath with the lower cover off and then you will see a tap which you rotate anticlockwise and the water will flow BUT release the system pressure first or coolant will be forced out under pressure.

The drain point is a tap so you should collect the coolant and take it for proper disposal. The system self bleeds as you run it up.

I've just changed the coolant in a transporter t5 I removed the coolant temp sensor to drain is this acceptable? Also I blew through the coolant bottle a few times which pushed more water out. Anyway my problem now is I have no hot air in the cab. I'm guessing trapped air in the heater matrix? Also it only took 5 litres of coolant I thought it should of been 8? Any help appreciated and sorry if I'm hijacking your tread!
